2022 Benefit Concert

This year’s benefit concert is being held in the memory of Dr. Martin Mihm, a co-founder of the Vietnam VAC, who passed away suddenly on July 19, 2022.   Dr. Mihm was an incredible dermatopathologist and humanist whose passion for helping others generosity of mind and spirit was an inspiration to all. Dr. Mihm was an incredible mentor, teacher, doctor that excelled in everything he touched.  He was board certified in Dermatology, Pathology and Dermatopathology and was Chief of the MGH Dermatopathology Unit for two decades. He also established a dermatology and dermatopathology training program at Albany Medical Center as well as a vascular malformation clinic as clinical professor at MGH. In July 2010, he assumed the position of Director of the Melanoma Program in Dermatology at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Dana-Farber and Brigham and Women’s Cancer Center where he remained the Director of the Mihm Cutaneous Pathology Consultative Service.  He was a Vascular Birthmark Foundation expert and headed the Vascular Anomalies Center at MGH for many years.  Dr. Mihm helped us start the Vietnam Vascular Anomalies Clinic in 2008 as he had done so with so many others.   Dr. Mihm traveled to Vietnam for many years with us to lecture at the annual meeting for the Vietnamese physicians on the updates on vascular anomalies and dermatopathology.  Please join us in honoring Dr. Mihm and honoring his dedication to help children with vascular birthmarks.   We sorely miss you, Dr. Mihm!  May the light that you bring to all of us and to the world around you shine brightly forever.
